Looming 101

The Stake Relief Society asked for our help with a Humanitarian project. A Sister in the stake is on a mission in the Philippines, and has been making hats for newborn babies to go home from the hospital in...but she couldn't keep up with the demand.

A pattern to crochet the hats went out...but unfortunately not many know how to crochet. Thank goodness for looms! The YW Leaders thought this was a fabulous project for the YW to learn how to make a hat, and newborn size is the perfect one to learn on!

The YW had a lot of choices of yarn and were given 2 colors to use in their hats. It was a bit of a slow start but things picked up and by the end of the night...they had completed 22 new hats!

We appreciate all the hours that Jyll put in so the girls could learn a new skill and also to donate the hats to some newborn babies they will never meet! Way to GO!
